Minha cidade faz hoje 284 anos.
Sou eternamente encantada por sua beleza e pela maneira de ser dos que aqui nasceram na simplicidade de ver e viver a vida à beira-mar.
Esta Ilha é para ser saboreada com calma e prazer.
Conhecer e participar de sua vida cultural singular, acompanhando um boi de mamão nos verões preguiçosos, renovar, a cada ano, pedidos e agradecimentos ao Senhor dos Passos no fim da quaresma, freqüentar as barraquinhas dos festejos do Divino, comer com gosto uma tainha ovada na chegada do frio, ir à Lagoa da Conceição e perder o fôlego no mirante, ver as rendeiras trançando os bilros nas almofadas de rendas, visitar Santo Antônio de Lisboa, seu casario e artesanato, ir à Freguesia do Ribeirão da Ilha, freqüentar as ruas do centro e dar uma passadinha no Mercado para um chope e um pastel de camarão no Box 32 e saber as últimas novidades... não tem preço.
Minha cidade não é o glamour de um Jurerê Internacional ou um Costão do Santinho, “criados” para ricos e famosos. Esses não têm noção de onde estão. Apenas trouxeram seus usos e costumes, grifes e pompas, instalados em mansões e resorts que passam longe da arquitetura típica local.
É, na essência, o bom humor, a alegria espontânea, a hospitalidade simples e natural do “manezinho” que faz questão de ser feliz.
Simples assim.

Adorei a retomada do blog e a manifestação de amor a Floripa.
O do apagao ainda não tinha lido, mas deve entrar para o livro de cronicas também.
